"When Fire Jumps" CS D'Alziel-McMaudie(c)1998

Fire jumps over wooden buildings and burns down stone castles. The story of a family in Australia at the turn of the 21st century.

No replaying or reposting or sharing or transcribing without the written permission of Dr Susanna J Dodgson, publisher@mjota.org.

Part 1. We meet the family and the animals as catastrophic events are starting and finishing in the far reaches of the universe.

Part 2.  Lucia, Vet and Eve are on their way to the Blue Mountains outside Sydney. They pass through burned-out towns, and see a wooden hall standing where a stone and brick house was reduced to ashes.

Part 3. Camp Cangaru. All is dry, fires are looming. Lucia has taken control of the children, the adults, and the animals.

Part 4. Fires surround Camp Cangaru, but some miles away. The camp prepares for evacuation, and for fire. The father and mother sense danger, and celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

Part 5. Catastrophe strikes and potential catastrophe strikes. Vet and Elizabeth sense the danger and use every prayer they can to keep the sisters out of trouble. Elizabeth prays that she is taken instead of the sisters, and puts herself in danger.  It is Philip and Elizabeth's 25th wedding anniversary, and they travel across the water of  Sydney Harbor to the Sydney Opera House to listen to the opera Aida. At the finale, when the stone is rolled in front of the cave containing Aida and her lover Radames, Philip collapses. At that moment, fires have encircles the camp-house containing the sisters.
