Mr Omenihu Amachi talks about himself, what it was like being caught in the middle of a civil war after genocide of Igbos had led to a young man declaring the independent nation of Biafra.


In this first show, Mr Amachi talks about a painting that came from his memories of his mother feeding starving villagers during the Biafran War. His mother, who was a food economist and cook, was given food by the Red Cross to distribute to the villagers, see the painting below.
