The Kingdom of Lesotho, is completely surrounded by South Africa. Its land mass is just over 30,000 km2 (11,583 sq mi) and the population is slightly over 2 million. It belongs to the Commonwealth of Nations. It has a history of struggle which ended in 1966 when it became an independent nation.
